Contact the School

Begin by reaching out to our administration team at Rochester Primary School at rochester.ps@education.vic.gov.au or telephone our office at (03) 5484 1072.

Check Eligibility

Ensure that your child meets the eligibility criteria for enrolment. Ideally, you should either reside within our designated neighbourhood zone as outlined by the Victorian Department of Education. If we have capacity, we can accept out of zone applications.

Our school follows the Department of Education’s Enrolment Policy for the enrolment, placement, and transfer of students.

Find my School will help you determine your designated neighbourhood school zone.

School Tour & Information Sessions

We offer school tours and information sessions for prospective students and their families.

This is an opportunity to familiarise yourself with the school's facilities, visit classrooms and ask questions.

This will all be organised after you contact the school.

Documentation

Gather the necessary documents including your child's birth certificate, immunisation records, proof of address, passport & visa if applicable, recent student report cards, and any legal documentation (such as custody arrangements) if applicable.

Complete Enrolment Forms

To proceed with the enrolment process, please obtain and complete the necessary forms.

These forms can be collected directly from the school office or accessed here.

Parent Payments: Policy | education.vic.gov.au

Submit Documents and Forms

Submit the completed enrolment forms along with the required documents to our administration team at our school office or via email at rochester.ps@education.vic.gov.au

Interview/Meeting (if required)

In some cases, we may schedule an interview or meeting with the principal or relevant staff to discuss your child's needs and answer any additional questions.

Confirmation

Once your enrolment application is processed, you will receive confirmation of your child's enrolment.

This may include information about the start date, uniforms, and any orientation events.

Transition Activities

When possible, our school will arrange transition activities or orientation sessions for new students to help them acclimate to our school.
